Do children behave differently than others at the time of PTSD?

Children's behavior at PTSD.
Children and teens can behave differently and their symptoms may not be the same as adults. In very young children, these symptoms can include:

Forgetting how or being unable to talk.

Acting out the scary event during playtime.

Being unusally clingy with a parent or other adult.

Bed wetting, when they'd be learned how to use the toilet before.

Acting out the trauma through play, stories or drainage.

Aches and pains with no apparent cause.

Irritability and aggression.

Sleeping problems and nightmares without recognizable content.

Somber, compulsive play in which themes of the trauma are repeated.

New phobias and anxieties that seem unrelated to the trauma (such as a fear of monsters).

Fear of being separated from parent.

Losing previously acquired skills,creativity.
